Zyntune is a music practice app. This policy explains what information Zyntune collects, how it is used, who can see it, and how you can delete it. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, instrument, and whether you are a student or a teacher. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the name and email address Apple shares with us. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are never visible to us.
To sync your practice across devices, we store your practice sessions (date, duration, piece, instrument, and any notes you add) and summary statistics such as streaks, total sessions, and total practice time.
Students can add a parent's email address in Settings. It is used only to send the parent copies of teacher reminders and assignments.
If you allow notifications, your device is registered with our notification provider using your account ID so we can deliver reminders and assignment alerts.
Zyntune requests microphone access solely for pitch detection in the tuner. Audio is processed on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted. We do not collect your location, contacts, or payment details.
If a student joins a teacher's studio using the teacher's code, that teacher can see the student's name, practice streak, sessions, and practice time, and can send the student assignments and reminders. Students can unlink from a teacher at any time in Settings, after which the teacher no longer has access.
We use the following services to run Zyntune. They process data only on our behalf:
Purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings > Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, profile, and practice history from our servers. Data stored only on your device is removed when you delete the app.
Zyntune is used by music students, some of whom may be children. A parent or guardian should help children under 13 set up their account. If you believe a child has provided information without a parent's consent, contact us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and the new version will be posted on this page.
